In the dishonest world of liberal opportunism, Bahrain is not an issue worth highlighting. In Pakistan, those commercial liberals and expats who champion themselves as “anti establishment” cheered on as the Saudis interfered to crush a pro democracy movement in Bahrain. Those Pakistani commercial liberals who claim to be “anti establishment” cheered on as mercenaries were recruited from Pakistan to crush this movement!

The same set of liberal opportunists support the foreign Saudi-US backed Al Qaeda mercenaries attacking the secular Syrian state under Assad.

“What an absolutely dreadful, tragic news to wake up to. The usurpers of Bahrain have executed two young men on trumped up charges without recourse to a fair trial, and buried them without the presence of their relatives. The usurpers and their sponsors will account for their crimes one day, undoubtedly.

“International rights groups — including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and a United Nations rights expert — had urged Bahrain on Friday to halt the execution of the two activists, accusing the kingdom of acting on confessions obtained through torture.

“While in custody, the men were tortured by security officers including through electric shocks and beatings. Ali Mohamed al-Arab’s toenails were also ripped out,” Amnesty International said in a statement.” (Source: New York Times, July 27, 2019)

“Sayed Ahmed Alwadaei, the director of the London-based Bahraini activist rights group, the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy, said in a statement, “It appears that the Bahraini government planned this meticulously, timing the executions to coincide with U.S., E.U. and U.K. legislative recesses in order to avoid international scrutiny.” (Source:NYT)
